A Sensory Exploration Class is a type of early childhood class designed to help babies and toddlers learn through their senses —touch, sight, sound, smell, and movement. What it looks like In this class, children are encouraged to explore different materials and environments in a safe and guided setting. Activities might include: Touching different textures (soft, rough, wet, squishy) indoor and outside of the classroom Playing with colors and visual elements Listening to sounds or simple music Movement-based play to build motor skills All conducted in English & Mandarin Why it’s important Sensory exploration helps support: Brain development (making new connections) Motor skills (grasping, crawling, coordination) Language development (through interaction and exposure) Creativity and curiosity How it’s taught Our sensory classes are inspired by approaches like Montessori method, where children are allowed to: Learn at their own pace Explore freely (with guidance) Build independence through hands-on activities In short, it’s a play-based learning class where babies learn by doing, touching, seeing, and experiencing.
